Team Allocation
Team combinations (winner country, loser country and 3 players) will be allocated randomly June 13th.
Points
Unlike a "normal" sweepstake, drawing Georgia might not be a bad thing! Points are tallied across three categories, with winning/losing country points being updated after each stage, and player points updated after each match day:
> Winning Country: The further your team makes it into the competition, the more points you'll pick up.
> Losing Country: If your losing team fails to escape the groups, you should be happy, that's more points! If you draw England here, apologies, there's a good chance you'll get 0, as it's coming home, right?
See below for a breakdown of Winning/Losing Country points. e.g. If your Losing Team gets knocked out in the group stage you'll recieve 3 points.
Each participant will also recieve 3 players within the tournament; 1 defender, 1 midfielder, 1 forward. Each goal scored by the allocated players will count towards the overall points.
As defender goals are a little more unlikely, the points recieved for these are greater.
See below for a breakdown of player point multipliers. e.g. If your defender scores 3 goals, you will recieve 4.5 points.
End Game
Following the final match (where England win ofc), the highest scoring 3 participants will recieve prizes.
Prizes can be found on the Prize page of this website.
Points can be tracked on the main Euros 2024 Sweepstake page (if anyone has Tableau advice, it would be appreciated, we reccomend navigating to the Tableau public version if you're on your phone click the tableau logo on the table).
If the event ends in a draw: 1. The player with the highest finishing Winner Team wins. 2. (if criteria 1 does not decide) Total player goals wins. 3. (if criteria 1 & 2 do not decide) Combined Loser and Winner country tournament Goals.
